James Bond College
Live Role Playing Game
General Rules Part II

Out of Bounds Areas

· No assassination attempt may be made if the victim or assassin is in an out-of-bounds area. The following are out of bounds:

1.  Private residences.  (The area outside a residence is in play.)

2.  Places of Worship. (To include to and from.)

3.  Bars/Pubs/Licensed Premises (This includes any room containing a bar, and/or that is secured after a bar shuts.)

4.  Any OFFICIAL Meeting or Event.  (To include to and from.)

5.  Vehicles. (In or near.)

· Poisoning is permitted in all of the above areas apart from Places of Worship and Official Events.

Accomplices

· Agents are not permitted to use accomplices to directly assist in a kill attempt.  Intelligence gathering, spreading of misinformation and planning is fine, but they cannot help in the actual kill in any way.

· Collusion between living or dead Agents is strictly forbidden.

· Dead Agents may not become accomplices.

Masks

· Agents may not obscure their face at any time.

Weapons

· All weapons used in the Game must be safe.

· All weapons used in the Game must have an effect on the victim.

· All custom weapons or weapons not listed here or commercially purchased must be approved by Control.

· You may not touch, in any way, or allow an accomplice to touch any other player’s weapon.

Guns

· Guns can be represented by either water guns or guns that fire soft, safe ammunition.  Air Soft guns must be spring loaded only.  CO2 guns will NOT be used.  Extreme care in firing Air Soft guns must be taken to avoid shots to the head as even spring loaded pistols may cause injury.  (Battery operated Air Soft guns are allowed as long as they are spring loaded.)

· Guns must not look overly realistic.  (Firearms must have some sort of orange marking or similar distinction.)  If in doubt, ask Control.

· Water weapons may not be used inside.

· Guns that fire BBs or other hard ammunition (not including Air Soft) are not permitted under any circumstances.

· Cap guns are not permitted.

· Ink guns, paint guns and other such messy weapons are not permitted.

· All guns are considered silenced unless they are designed to make a loud noise naturally.

Knives

· Foam, soft plastic, paper/cardboard knives, etc. may all be used.

· Handmade paper/cardboard knives must be knife shaped and clearly marked with the word KNIFE.

· Throwing knives and other thrown weapons require approval of Control.

Grenades

· Water balloon bombs may be used as grenades outside.

· Flour bombs and other such messy weapons are BANNED.

· Successful grenade kills with no witnesses are worth a 1 point bonus.

Poison

· Agents can poison someone's food or drink by placing a piece of paper marked poison UNDER their food or drink so they see it after they consume.

· A significant proportion (at least a full bite) of the poisoned food or drink must be consumed for the poison to be effective.

· Poison takes 5 minutes to kill its victim.

· The victim may take an antidote to the poison within the 5 minutes. Antidote consists of anything that changes the color of their tongue such as food coloring.

· Poison Gas is BANNED.

· Contact poisons such as Vaseline are BANNED

· Poison that interferes with someone’s food such as Tabasco sauce are BANNED

· Poisoned letters are BANNED.

· Anthrax, i.e. sending talcum powder through the mail, is BANNED.

· Successful poison assassinations are worth a 2 point bonus.

Bombs

· Bombs which look real are BANNED.

· Agents may bomb each other but the bomb must work (i.e. an Alarm Clock with the word BOMB written on it which goes off when a string is pulled).  All bombs have a kill radius of 10 feet.

· Bombs containing any dangerous items (i.e. gunpowder) are BANNED.

· Only command detonated bombs or victim triggered bombs are allowed.  Bombs on a timer are BANNED.

· Bombs must have 3 dimensions.  A piece of paper with the word BOMB written on it is NOT a bomb.  A box with the word BOMB on may be a bomb but it must do something or have something done to trigger it (such as a pull string, etc.).

· Car bombs are not allowed as vehicles are off limits.

· Bombs that kill/wound innocent bystanders will result in a penalty of 1 point per bystander for the Agent that planted it.  Any non combatants in the kill radius when the bomb detonates are considered dead and points deducted accordingly.  When in doubt, as to the distance, the civilian is considered dead.

· Successful bomb assassinations are worth a 2 point bonus.

The End Game/Final Showdown

· When declaring the start of a game, Control will also set a date for the end of play.

· If there is not a winner by this date, then all active Agents must attend a Final Showdown as directed by Control.

· There will be a ceasefire between the end of play and the Final Showdown.

· Any Agent who fails to attend the Final Showdown will be deemed dead.

· The rules of the Final Showdown will be communicated to Agents in person before the start of the Showdown.

Other Rules

· Other aspects of the game may be introduced such as specific missions Agents have to complete.  Missions can be anything Agents and Control agree upon prior to the start of the game.

· Control is the final rule making authority.  If an Agent has a question, he or she should ask Control.  Control will then make a decision and contact all Agents via e-mail or text message.

· Prior to play, all participants must sign a liability waiver statement.
